T4 has the ability to report market news in real-time through in-depth coverage of U.S. and European futures markets, fixed income and more. Each trading day T4 displays news and reports on economic, financial and geopolitical news. T4 also displays breaking economic news and financial data.
Enables dynamic streaming of data into Excel Click the DDE button to make a copy of the current Chart data as DDE links. Open an Excel spreadsheet and paste. Market data will begin streaming to the Excel spreadsheet.
Almost any window on the desktop version has its own property and in that windows property you can make it a default or save a copy of it. This window allows you to manage these windows, create multiple defaults, duplicate windows and rename them with your own unique name all from within the window manager. T4 supports sending data via DDE to other application providers, such as Microsoft Excel and Open Office.
You can control some aspects of the T4 frontend via DDE commands. These are aimed at people programming applications within Excel that interact with T4.
T4 now has two-factor authentication to allow for an easier and more secure login.
The Initial Balance indicator can be extended by a configurable percentage. The IBx1 extension displays the Initial Balance extended to 150%, the IBx2 extension displays the Initial Balance extended to 200%. To open a new News window, Click News from the Main window’s New Item Menu.
To open select Window Management from the Main window’s New Item Menu.
Whenever you click save as a default or save copy in your windows properties it gets stored here, and you can toggle between default and saved.
While in the defaults tab if you Left clicking on the check box in the default area it will disable the use of your default window. This is helpful if you wanted to create a new window independent of your default. If you left click on an icon in the open new value area it will bring up a contract picker and allow you to pull up a new market using that default.
When you click on the add window tab it will bring up a list of all windows currently on your layout. You can click the plus located next to the heading to see a list of those windows. left clicking on the contract you select will add it to the list as a copy. This is important because this ladder had changes made to it that are not on my main default window. I also gave it a unique name so I can easily differentiate it from my other default.
Clicking the add window tab will bring up a list of windows currently on your layout.
On the Main tab of the Main Properties you will find the DDE Format option. This allows you to change between Excel and OpenOffice Calc DDE syntax. They are not the same.
To recieve quote data from a particular DDE link MUST have a Quote Board window open and containing the desired market. Then click the ‘DDE’ button on the Quote Board. Right click on a cell in your spreadsheet and choose the ‘Paste’ menu item. This will paste a table of links to T4 that contain the same markets and columns as your Quote Board. Alternatively, you can right click on a single value in the Quote Board and select the ‘Copy DDE Link’ menu item, then paste into your spreadsheet. Only the specific value will be linked.
Again, the market must be displayed in the Quote Board window BEFORE it is linked to your spreadsheet. This also applies if you are loading a saved spreadsheet.
=T4Screen|'MKT_
Where:
The Bid and Offer information will include implied prices if the frontend is configured to show it.
The difference between the ‘_TICKS’ and ‘_PRICE’ values is that the ‘_PRICE’ values are display prices (what you see on the frontend, e.g. 30yr bond = 11215) and the ‘_TICKS’ values are the decimal equivalent that can have math done on it (e.g. 30yr bond = 11215 = 112 points + 15/32 = expressed as a decimal is (112 + (15/32) = 112.46875). Please note that the decimal point is not present for all markets and must be added in programmatically if desired.
To send account and position data you can use the same method as above, except using the Account window instead of the Quote Board. Note that if you trade in a new market then Excel will not automatically detect that position, you must place links in Excel for each specific position that you want.
The DDE link format for account data in Excel is:
=T4Screen|'ACT_
Where:
=T4Screen|'POS_
Where:
=T4Screen|'CW_
where
e.g. =T4Screen|'CW_CME_20130700_OZCN3_SPACE_C0680'!SHOW
Sending this command will cause the frontend to look for the most recently used Contract window for that Contract and bring it on top of any other application, making the specified market the active market. If no Contract window is found for that Contract then it will open a new Contract window and display it with that market active.
If you wish to repeatedly display the same market (e.g. user clicks a cell to display the contract window, then closes the contract window and clicks the cell again) then you need to replace the above cell contents with:
=T4Screen|'CW_
where
This clears out the last command processed and will allow the previous command to be sent again as a new command.
If the command succeeds then the value '
To change the timer you need to enter the following into a cell:
=T4Screen|'TMR_
where
e.g. =T4Screen|'TMR_500'!SET will set the timer interval to be 500ms.
If the command succeeds then the value '
If you close T4 desktop and reopen it then you would need to execute this command again for it to take effect.
Note that if the market is moving rapidly you may get filled at a worse price than the one you entered. If you want to prevent this by setting a limit price for the stop then you can do so with the Order Ticket.
Stops are useful as loss limits as you can use them to close out a position automatically if the market goes against you.
This displays multiple months for the same contract next to each other on a compact, shared price scale that allows an overview of those markets and how they are trading in relation to each other. It also allows 2 click order submission as clicking on the mini-market will zoom the main contract display to that market and price that you clicked on, and then you can click on that to submit your order as per normal. You can select the markets that are displayed by clicking the ‘Market’ button above the price scale.

In order to enable 2FA, the user changes the setting to Enabled, enters his phone number, and then clicks Continue.
This phone # must be able to receive txt messages via SMS. Landline phones are not supported.
If you do not have a cell phone, or simply prefer to use email instead, There is a link on the setup to enable email.
If two-factor authentication is not enabled for the user until they successfully verify their phone number/email. When they click "Continue" a 6-digit verification code will be sent and they must enter it and click submit.
After setting up 2FA, the user will be required to authenticate every device he uses to log into T4.
The user will log in using his firm/username/password just like normal.
The screen that prompts for the authentication code will display a link to send the code to email instead after a 20-30 second delay:
2FA is supported for all older version of T4 and apps written to older versions of our API.
When the user logs in using an old version, the login will fail, however an authentication token will be delivered to the user.
Also, some applications log in additional users, and it is not possible to support 2FA in this case.
For applications that cannot support 2FA, we have created an alternate authentication mechanism called an “application password”.
For these applications, the user will create a dedicated password for the application and configure it in their user setup.
General
e.g. a 10 lot trades against two 5 lots. Trade Summary enabled will show a 10 lot trade. Trade Summary disabled will show two 5 lot trades.
You may need to restart the application to see this change take full effect.

What is CropProphet?
Weather and Satellite Inputs
Satellite crop monitoring is now commonplace. CropProphet provides a more complete solution based on high-resolution weather inputs combined with satellite data – updated daily.
Superior Accuracy
Ignore the hype - Get the facts
Occasionally the market over reacts to information about the grain market. July 10, 2017 market concerns about weather did not pan out. The CropProphet forecast corn yield forecasts had started their upwards progress towards what was a substantial increase in the yield forecast. 2017 users of CropPhrophet were able to avoid being impacted by market hype and plan, trade, and make decisions confidently based on our forecasts.
Now Featuring Two Weather Forecast Models
One of the most frequent pieces of feedback we received during 2018 was requests to add the European Center for Medium Range Weather Forecast (ECMWF) ensemble model forecasts to CropProphet. We already are the only provider to quantify the impact on yields as implied by the weather forecasts. Analyses from the ECMWF model, widely acknowledged as the most accurate short to medium range weather forecast model available today, will be included in your CropProphet Enterprise subscription for 2019. The 14-day crop impact analysis will feature crop forecasts as impacted by the NOAA's GFS and the ECMWF ensemble model data.
Objective Crop Forecasts
CropProphet is a completely automated crop forecast system that is not swayed by the latest market news. Many market participants have to guess not only at the impact the weather that has happened so far this year but guess at the impact of the weather forecast on crops. CropProphet users do not have to guess about the impact of the weather forecast on crop yield or production. It's one of the many analytical tools available to you in the product.
